Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Wallabout Collective Inc. (“Wallabout,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use DizzyCal, our websites, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Who we are
DizzyCal is operated by Wallabout Collective Inc. (“Wallabout”). We provide calendar subscription tools that let creators publish schedules and let their audiences sync events into personal calendar apps such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at privacy@dizzycal.com or hello@dizzycal.com.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to:
- Visitors to https://www.dizzycal.com and related marketing pages
- Creators and team members who register for a DizzyCal account
- Subscribers who add a creator's calendar through a public subscribe page or personal link
- Developers who use our API with authorized credentials
Creators may publish their own privacy policies on branded calendar pages. When a subscriber interacts with a creator's page, the creator is also responsible for explaining how they use subscriber information.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account and profile information
When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, organization name, authentication credentials, and workspace settings. If you sign in through a third-party identity provider, we receive information that provider shares with us according to your settings with that provider.
3.2 Calendar and content data
We store the content you upload or create in DizzyCal, including calendar names, event details, categories, schedules, branding assets (logos, images, themes), hosting settings, embed configuration, and publication status.
3.3 Subscriber and end-user information
When someone subscribes to a calendar, we may collect their email address, name, calendar provider choice, subscription token, selected schedules, marketing preferences, consent records, and technical metadata needed to deliver calendar feeds. Email addresses may be stored in hashed form for lookup and deduplication while still allowing export where permitted.
3.4 Payment information
Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers. Stripe provides us with billing status, subscription identifiers, invoice history, and limited payment metadata needed to manage your plan.
3.5 Usage, device, and log data
We automatically collect information about how the Service is accessed and used, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, API call volume, error logs, timestamps, and referral URLs. We use this data to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
3.6 Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and prevent abuse. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may limit functionality.
3.7 Information from third parties
We may receive information from authentication providers, payment processors, analytics tools, infrastructure vendors, and integrations you connect (for example, imported event sources or social profile metadata when you choose to import assets).
4. How we use information
We use information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Create and manage accounts, workspaces, and calendars
- Publish public calendar pages and deliver ICS/webcal feeds to subscribers
- Process subscriptions, billing, upgrades, and customer support requests
- Send transactional messages such as confirmations, security alerts, and service notices
- Monitor usage limits, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service
- Develop new features, including AI-assisted tools where offered
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
With your consent or as permitted by law, we may also send promotional communications. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data on these bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you request, including account management and calendar delivery
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent abuse, analyze performance, and improve features, balanced against your rights
- Consent: where required for marketing, optional cookies, or specific subscriber consent flows configured by creators
- Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law
6. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in these circumstances:
- Service providers: with vendors that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, database providers, email delivery, authentication, analytics, and payment processing
- Creators and subscribers: creators can access subscriber data for calendars they manage; subscribers receive calendar content from creators they follow
- At your direction: when you connect custom domains, webhooks, exports, or third-party integrations
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards
- Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights, or investigate fraud or security issues
We require service providers to handle personal information only for authorized purposes and under appropriate contractual protections.
7. International data transfers
We are based in the United States and may process information in the U.S. and other countries where we or our service providers operate. When we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms where required by law.
8. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete content or close an account, we delete or anonymize information within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law, billing records, security logs, or backup systems with limited retention cycles.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, and secure infrastructure practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Port data you provided in a usable format
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing that may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law. We do not sell personal information for money.
To exercise your rights, email privacy@dizzycal.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If you are a subscriber to a creator's calendar, the creator may also hold information about you directly.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Third-party links and services
The Service may link to third-party websites, calendar apps, or creator-controlled pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to third parties.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
